The FSK rating for Sweeney Todd, which is 16 years and older, is justified due to the dark and violent themes present in the film. The movie contains graphic scenes of murder and gore, as well as themes of revenge and madness. Additionally, the overall tone and atmosphere of the film are quite intense and may be disturbing for younger audiences.
